Immaculate Uzoamaka Nwajagu is a Food Consultant with keen interest in food safety, food security, product development and nutrition. She is the Managing Principal/Founder of Food Maestro.
Preceding Food Maestro, She served as an independent Food Safety Advocate, Food and Health Promoter to food industries, commercial kitchens and households, where she advised corporate clients on Good Personal Hygiene (GPH) and Control of Food Hazards. As an intern, she worked with National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), this position intimated her to the responsibilities of protecting the public health by ensuring the safety, efficacy and security of food.
Immaculate holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria. She received her BSc. (Hons) in Food Science and Technology from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology. Immaculate is a professional member of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST), Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN) and The Nutrition Society (NS).
Immaculate won the prestigious award from the Nigerian Young Academy for her excellent research work, which focused to delivering solutions to the problem of food insecurity.
Immaculate is a strong believer in food system strengthening and her passion lies in building bridges and inspiring others to see food as a means of addressing some of the pressing issues of our time.
Nnenna Esther C.
Nnenna Esther Chukwuekezie is a Water and Wastewater treatment consultant. She is an innovative researcher with key interest in water treatment, water reuse and public health monitoring.
She is currently studying for her masters in Water and Wastewater Engineering at Cranfield University, UK under Commonwealth sponsorship. She holds a BSc in Microbiology (Hons), at Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ebonyi State, and was awarded the Valedictorian.
Esther is a member of Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEN), American Society of Microbiology (ASM), Silsoe Aid for Appropriate Development (SAFAD) and International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
Over the years, Esther has developed skills in leadership, verbal and written communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and time management.
Esther is driven by her passion to positively impact lives, hence her sincere engagement in Food Maestro and other organization where she actively acts as Principal Consultant. Her research interest revolves around portable water treatment for household usage. Through the course of her career, Esther was opportune to do an internship with NAFDAC where she actively partook in microbial analysis of water samples for compliance. She has also taken some modules on public health and the adverse effect of unsafe water to health. Thus, her interest in providing sustainable water treatment techniques.
Emmanuel Iwegbu is an Experienced and Reliable Quality Assurance professional with over 7 years of manufacturing experience cutting across CHI-LIMITED, Coca-Cola Hellenic bottling company and Kimberly Clark in ensuring the highest quality outcomes is attained.
Emmanuel obtained his
B.Sc Food Science n Technology from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
He is adapt in providing suggestions and solutions to improve and enhance product safety and Productivity.
Emmanuel is capable of resolving problems by examining and evaluating data and selecting corrective steps.
Ebere Marythelma Onwe
Ebere Marythelma Onwe is a graduate of food science and technology from Ebonyi state university and a current MSc postgraduate student of food quality control and assurance in the prestigious Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Running an MSc program in food quality control and assurance was born out of the desire to contribute to food safety system in food processing establishments especially restaurants and road side fast foods. She also has interest in food product development and nutrition especially for persons with special health needs such as the hyperglycemic; this has spurned her current area of research in her MSc program. Ebere interned with the National agency for food and drug administration and control in 2014 where she worked with a team of other interns and staff analyzing hundreds of food, drinks and water samples for safety and health compliance. She has subsequently worked with and Volunteered for a number of reputable food restaurants and fast-foods.
Christiana Chinomso Idam
Christiana Chinomso Idam is an ardent Food processor.
She’s has a Bsc in Food Science and Technology from Ebonyi State University. She’s currently rounding up an MSc degree program in Food Quality Control and Assurance at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike.
Her passion for food processing led her to establishing a food company by name “Kocid Global Foods Enterprise”. This company is aimed at being a ” Home of Healthy and Safe Foods” and have two products in the market; Kocid coconut chin chin and Kocid probiotic yogurt.
With her assistance, she worked as a consultant in the establishment of a food company named “Wahala Free”. Assisting in drafting Standard operating procedures (SOP) for different activities in the company and supervising overall start up processes.
She has good leadership and communication skills; super headed a team that successfully produced 3 kinds of bread during FST Food week 2014 in EBSU, recording awesome feedbacks. She was also a one time Head of Sensitization of the NYSC Drug Free and Quality Control CDS Umuahia North, where she helped sensitise the general public on the duties of NAFDAC and NDLEA, her efforts were greatly felt and she got 3 awards from NAFDAC, NDLEA and the CDS group.
She believes in bringing a change in food processing. She believes food innovation can help tackle nutrition related problems. She believes in food safety. She believes in the vision of food maestro.
Mr Abubakar Tanimu Umar
Mr Abubakar Tanimu Umar is a career nutritionist with key interests in Nutrition Policy formulation and research. A graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, He is well versed in Community Nutrition and identification of problem areas in maternal health and child nutrition. Currently a staff of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), He is experienced in ensuring regulatory compliance and Food safety, he has handled various National assignments on USI (Universal Salt iodization) and Micronutrient Fortification thereby ensuring food safety and is skilled in Laboratory analytical techniques. He has actively participated in lobbying for several NGO’s and is a founding Member of the Academic and Research Scaling up Nutrition in Nigeria (ARN-SUNN). He is happily married with two daughters.
